This TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Requalification (RQF) is a nationally recognised and Ofqual-regulated course designed for individuals who hold a current or recently expired First Aid at Work certificate and need to requalify. This intensive two-day course serves to refresh, update, and assess the knowledge and practical skills required to act as a qualified first aider in the workplace, ensuring continued compliance with health and safety regulations. It provides a crucial opportunity to review essential techniques and familiarise participants with any new guidelines or best practices. Course Length: This is a 2-day course, typically with a minimum of 12 contact hours. Main Topics (Refresher & Update): The course comprehensively reviews all the core topics from the full First Aid at Work syllabus, with an emphasis on practical application, scenario-based learning, and any recent changes in first aid protocols. Topics covered include: 1. Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider. 2. Assessing an Incident. 3. Managing an Unresponsive Casualty. 4. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED). 5. Choking. 6. Wounds and Bleeding. 7. Shock. 8. Burns and Scalds. 9. Major Illnesses. 10. Musculoskeletal Injuries. 11. Head, Spinal, and Chest Injuries. 12. Poisons, Eye Injuries, and Environmental Exposure. This TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Requalification (RQF) fully complies with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the latest guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Successful completion of this course extends the validity of the learner's First Aid at Work certificate for a further three years, ensuring that workplaces maintain their legally compliant first aid provision. It is essential that attendees complete this requalification course before their current certificate expires, or within a specific grace period (typically one month) thereafter, to maintain continuity of their qualification.
