Course Length: This is a 2-day course, typically with a minimum of 12 contact hours. Main Topics: 1. Roles and Responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider. 2. Assessing an Emergency Situation. 3. Managing an Unresponsive Infant or Child (Breathing Normally). 4. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use. 5. Choking. 6. Seizures. 7. Wounds and Bleeding. 8. Shock. 9. Burns and Scalds. 10. Minor Injuries. 11. Anaphylaxis. 12. Fractures, Dislocations, Sprains, and Strains. 13. Head, Neck, and Spinal Injuries. 14. This TQUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework and is recognised by Ofsted. As a regulated qualification, it provides comprehensive training for individuals responsible for the care of children and infants, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements for childcare provision.
